KOBV-Portal

The KOBV Portal is the regional library portal for Berlin and Brandenburg. It is operated by the Kooperativer Bibliotheksverbund Berlin-Brandenburg (KOBV), the association of libraries in Berlin and Brandenburg.

The KOBV Portal makes your literature research easier

• search catalogues of a large number of libraries and other data sources (such als databases, digital collections etc) in a single search.
  For an advanced subject-specific search, the Virtual Libraries (Virtuelle Fachbibliotheken) are linked with each other.
  
  
• use additional services after your catalogue search
• with a click on the "Fernleihe" button you can place an interlibrary loan order
• with a click on the "KOBV-Dienste" button, you can use further KOBV services, e.g. you can access full texts, place orders in the online book trade, continue your search with various search engines ...
  
  
• download bibliographical data from the KOBV index to your literature management system  (Endnote, RefWorks) or to Zotero.
  
  
• create your individual search environment by registering (free of charge and anonymously). As a registered user you can
  • create individual search sets with your favourite data sources, which will be immediately available to you every time you access the KOBV Portal,
  • save and manage search results,
  • save and re-activate search requests.

The virtual combined catalogues VK Film, VK Judaica and VK Noten are integrated into the KOBV Portal.
