Terms of use for online interlibray loan

1. Search first then order

Upon successful search in the KOBV Portal, click the "Fernleihe" button. You will then be led through the order process step by step.

The location of the book for which you trigger an interlibrary loan order does not matter. The system will automatically select a "suitable" library as soon as your order has been finalized.

2. Register

For the online interlibrary loan you have to identify yourself on the screen. For this, you will need your user number and library card.

3. Charges

In general, libraries will charge a processing fee for your order, which will be debited to your user account. The amount of this fee is mentioned in the terms of use of your library.

The fee is charged for the processing of your order in the libray and will also be payable if your order cannot be executed!

4. Pick-up

You have to pick up the ordered book at your library. You will be informed by your library as soon as it arrives there.
