Hosting Service Virtual Subject Catalogues

For consortia of special libraries the KOBV provides virtual subject catalogues (collective catalogues).

This service is open nationwide to all institutions. Participation does not require a membership to KOBV.

A Virtual Subject Catalogue offers one internet address for all catalogues of the library consortium and enables the users with one single search to get informations about all these catalogues.

The first partner of KOBV in this field was German consortium of special film libraries. It has realized its Virtual Film Catalogue in cooperation with KOBV. Furthermore in cooperation with several libraries from Berlin and Brandenburg KOBV creates the Virtual Catalogue Judaica and the Virtual Catalogue Noten.
